Please refer to the screenshot first.

Basically, I’d like to show the top level menu into the side menu section and it displays as default page.

    how can i do that?

    Hi!

You can use the “Custom Menu” widget (Appearance > Widgets) to display any WordPress menu (Appearance > Menus) in the sidebar.

I tried this but it displayed sub menus twice at the left nav sidebar.

I could not remove the default set of menus.

I guess I need to touch sidbar.php somehow?

    .. please advise.

PS> Sorry for the duplicate posting. I missed your reply.

    Hey!

You can deactivate the default menu. Go to Enfold > Sidebar and search for the “Page Sidebar navigation” option.

    thx.

so no need to modify sidbar.php but just disable the option. this would be best practice though?

Yes, I’m sure it is ok.
