If I have custom sidebar widget areas defined, and then I change the Theme default number of footer widgets from 4 to 1, it messes up the content of all my custom sidebar widgets. If I then change the theme default number of footer widgets to 4 again, the custom widgets are returned to normal. This probably has something to do with the fact that the footer widget areas #2, 3 and 4 disappear from the Widgets page based on the theme default selection I make.

    Thought you should know.

    Hi lbdesign,

This is actually a wordpress bug. Whenever you move around or delete widget areas wordpress shuffles the actual contents of each widget area to adjust.

Its a mess and not something widely run into but as far as I know there is no fix for it.

    Regards,

    Devin
