Hello,
I would like to have different sidebars on my pages and on the blog.
Despite the fact I created new area and put widgets in them, the widgets in "Blog Sidebar" are still displayed on those pages.
I tried to follow instructions from this post http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/blog-sidebar-question but without success.

maybe you use the same widgets in the "Displayed Everywhere" widget area or your pages are archive pages? You can use plugins like http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/widget-logic/ to set widgets for certain posts, pages or all posts/pages.

Hey,
No widget in "Displayed Everywhere" and my pages are normal pages. I am not sure about what archive pages are.
I installed the plugin mentioned and it seems to work but I can't display any sidebar ONLY on the main blog page (the one which displays the posts excerpts). I have no idea about the conditional tags to use for that page as the "is_page( '5' )" is not working.
