    Hi,

    I would like to change the colour of the sidebar text font. I need both font colours, one for the menu headings & the other font colour is for all writing in the sidebar.

    I have tried to Google it but the codes I found for this haven’t worked.

    Thanks

    Hi RachelFlute,

    Try this:

    .sidebar .widgettitle, .sidebar .widgettitle a {
    color: #666666;
    }

    .sidebar {
    color: #666666;
    }

    Regards,

    Mya

    Hi Mya,

    Thank you for your reply. I tried the first code (.sidebar .widgettitle, .sidebar .widgettitle a {color: #666666;} & it worked perfectly,changing the Title/Heading text in the sidebar.

    However, the second code didn’t change anything. I would also like to change the general (sub-text) in the sidebar, for example category names or featured product text. Is there another code for that?

    Thanks for your help

    Hello,

    You can use this.

    .widget_archive li a, .widget_categories li a, .widget_pages li a, .widget_links li a, .widget_meta li a, .widget_nav_menu li a {
    color: red;
    }

    Hi,

    I’m really sorry to see this but I copy & pasted that coded exactly how it is & it didn’t change a thing. I’ve tried so many codes but none of them work. For example, the the featured posts or products widget in the sidebar. I really need to change the colour of the text for that. Is that the correct code to do that? If so, any ideas why it’s not working or changing for me?

    Thanks

    Hi RachelFlute,

    Can you provide a link to the site and point out exactly which items on the page you want the color changed for? That way we can see what you have now and if there is anything specific we need to target in the css.

    Regards,

    Devin

    Hi Devin,

    Since my last message I’ve realised that the actual category font in the sidebar has been changed. Sorry to be so demanding but could I also get the code to change the font size of the category names in the sidebar.

    Instead what the problem was that I was changing the font for the features products or posts. On the sidebar, below the category list widget, there is a widget for featured products. It is the font colour and size that I would like to change, both the title & price of the product. Here is a link to an example http://www.objectivesoul.co.uk/shop-3/ The featured products are at the bottom of the right sidebar (please note that the site is still under construction).

    Could I please have the codes to change the following;

    The font size for the category list widget (I already have the code for the font colour)

    The font colour for featured products widget – title & price

    The font colour for featured post widget

    I am sorry to be so demanding, and I would like to add that I think Abundance is a great theme. It’s just I’m having a few difficulties customizing the sizebars, menus & fonts.

    Thanks for your time

    Rachel

    Hi Rachel,

    The “Shop by Product Genre” is controlled by a plugin. I assume it has the controls for the font size and styling as it looks like they are part of a skin. The same goes for the “Product Type” widget.

    For the Featured Products, Try adding the following CSS to your Quick CSS (located under the Styling Tab in the theme options) or the custom.css file in the css folder of your theme files:

    .sidebar .widget_featured_products .widgettitle{
    color: #330066;
    font-size: 13px;
    }
    div ul.product_list_widget li a {
    font-size: 12px;
    color: #777;
    }
    ul.product_list_widget .amount {
    color: #777;
    }

    I don’t know what you mean by a featured post widget, but the Latest News widget can be targeted with:

    .newsbox {
    color: red;
    }

    Devin

    Hi Devin,

    Those codes all worked perfectly. I hope that should be enough for my css needs for now ;-)

    Thank you very much for your time and help with that.

    Regards,

    Rachel
