Hi,
I am seeing the sidebar is working on product categories. Have you installed the last update?
Thanks,

Hi Nick
I am using version 1.9.1 which was the latest update when I updated woocommerce. I cannot see sidebar in either categories or single product pagesPosted 2 months ago # -
Hey offside,
Can you create a temporary admin account for me so I can log into your wordpress install and take a look?
You can send the information to my email at DevinVinson (at) gmail.com. Make sure to include a link to this topic so that my spam filter doesn't grab it :)
Regards,
Devin

Hi Devin
I have sent you the information as requested.Posted 2 months ago # -
With the number of active plugins my guess is that there is a conflict in there somewhere. At least one of the plugins isn't supported past 3.3 so there the first steps to try and get the issue resolved will be to deactivate all active plugins and drop-ins, clear you cache and see if working from the base of theme+woocommerce the issue is resolved.

Devin

Hi,
Please turn off W3 Total Cache while doing development work, otherwise you will be looking at the cache and not the live code. Please try once more the previously suggested solutions without the cache. Please make sure that the minification is turned off as well that works alongside Total Cache.
Thanks,
Nick

Still not working have left W3 Total Cache turned off.

Hi offside,
Can you re-send me the login information in that case (I never keep login information). I'll have to look through how everything is set up and see if I can re-create the same error on my install or find what is happening to cause the difference.

Devin

I've not been able to find what is causing the issues with all of the sidebars so far. I'm going to ask the head of support to take a look as well as there doesn't seem to be any cause from the settings and everything else right now.

Devin

Hi,
On my local install everything works. Have sidebars on shop, categories, product pages. Your original template files, before you installed the new version of the theme were customized I am guessing. How did you go about updating to make sure that your old customization were merged into the last version of the theme? You most likely missed something I suspect.
Please send me a temp admin login/pw to usjahm (at) gmail (dot) com .... I have some ideas that will flush this problem out
Thanks,
Nick

HI,,
This a tough nut to crack - teeth hurt but cracked partially. In other words I got a sidebar on the main shop page so far. Still looking.
Alright. 2 minutes after the first crack, the whole thing started obeying. You got sidebars in all 3 places - shop, categories, products.
Solution:
The key was the Shop page. Once I changed the settings, everything else fell into place. The shop page should not use a dynamic template nor should be an archive. Instead the location of the sidebar needs to be selected here. Once that is done, the categories and individual items display the sidebar as well. I haven't tried setting the dynamic template back again to see if this was a temporary issue that just needed to get flushed out of the mysql or something permanent. You can try playing around with sidebar locations to tweak it now,
Also on the product item page, you display:none on all of the tabs. You should just remove the description tab, but since another tab provides size/weight data for your model, allow that one to be displayed
Thanks,
Nick

Thanks Nick
I moved sidebar to left side but on product page it appears above slide show container and price container. Can I move them back to how they use to be with some CSS code.

Hey,
That's strange. On my local version of your site it is in the correct location. I don't think moving it with css is a good idea except as last resort. Taking a look now.
I am sorry, but can't wrap my head around this for the moment. The Master of Support will see what I can not or the big man himself. I will add some of my observations below. However so as not to leave the site with a weird sidebar sticking out, I added 4 blocks of css to the end of your quick css (they are labeled in between two comment lines) and at least for the moment squeezed the page a bit.
http://i.imgur.com/Xeq3hQZ.png the sidebar is not in the correct location, yellow is current (incorrect) location, and arrow shows where that div should be located. .
Thanks,
Nick

I think Nick solved all issues? The sidebar displays fine on all category: http://www.armchairaviator.com.au/shop/product-category/diecast-models/diecast-model-aircraft/diecast-models-military-aircraft/hobbymaster-air-power-series/ , shop and single pages: http://www.armchairaviator.com.au/shop/hobby-master-ha3315-172-scale-f-5e/
It also floats to the left: http://img715.imageshack.us/img715/3256/unbenanntcs.png and doesn't display above the slideshow container and price containerPosted 2 months ago # -
Hi Dude
Nick has added some temporary css. Before update the slideshow container and price container were on the left with the side bar below.Posted 2 months ago # -
Hi,
At this point, rather then spend enormous amounts of time trying to see what the deal is, it would be easier if you can setup a subdomain dev.armchairaviator.com.au (your host should do it or you can do with cpanel) and then setup the theme and do the import that I emailed you. Then you will see that the sidebar goes into the correct place as before. ( This is how things look on my local install of your data. http://i.imgur.com/Orky98l.png )
All you will need to do then is just switch dev.armchairaviator.com.au to armchairaviator.com.au and that's all. Because right now something is not working correctly on your site because the sidebar for product pages is completely ignored, while that is not the case on my test site that was built using your data import. So the issue is (imo) the upgrade process was somehow flawed. of wordpress or woocommerce or the theme.
I used this to import the data http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-re-importer/
I can try to move things around with css to recreate the original look if you want, its not difficult , but that's not a good solution to this issue. Since you wont have to recreate any of those 700 pages but instead just bring over your css, and redo the menu, its piece of cake.
Thanks,
Nick
