If you have troubles since the update to WordPress 4.5 please read this post before opening a new thread.
The sidebar on our site suddenly disappeared. The only thing I had changed was some text in 2 pages that I update daily and the phone number which I reverted both.

Sorry, no posts matched your criteria”
at the bottom instead.
I need to get this fixed ASAP. I tried reverting the database to an older version with no luck. I also disabled all of the plugins and it did not fix the problem.
What content was displaying here before? Are your widgets still appearing under Appearance > Widgets? Did you make any updates to WordPress, theme or plugin prior to this?
I have in the Sidebar Pages (left) Text Widget with some HTML code to display 2 buttons to pages and I have a Custom Menu widget. They are still appearing there. Also I got the sidebar to show up by picking “Archives” under the Page Attributes > Template instead of default.
Did not update anything, wordpress or plugins.
Did you modify some pages/php files in the themes? I think the problem is not on the sidebar.
Nothing has been modified since April 18th. The only thing I modified was to make the social icons open a new window rather than the same page in the header and added an adroll script to the footer.
Strange. I would have to look at the template files to know exactly what the cause may be. If you want to set up a guest admin account and send me the login at mya (at) myaleigh.com I’ll be happy to look at it. Alternatively, you can paste your footer.php so for us to review.
I went ahead and just rebuilt the whole thing on my wamp server and used import/export for pages, etc. Took me about 2 hours. Sidebar is working fine and all the plugins, etc are updated now.
