If you have troubles since the update to WordPress 4.5 please read this post before opening a new thread.
I’m very pleased with the theme, but I put an Easy Slider on the home page and am having trouble with the image sizes. No matter what size I choose, the size is the same (large). I want to scale the images to portfolio (495×400) but just can’t get it. Can anyone help?
The “Slideshow Image Size” is not the size of the actual slider but the kind of thumbnail that you want to use on the slider. You need to constrain the Easy Slider element on a column element or put it on a div with a specific width and height. It will always inherit the size of its container.
Excuse my ignorance but what do you mean by “put it on a div”? I don’t know much about coding so maybe this is over my head.
One other question – how can I remove the footer text? I don’t want “interesting links”.
The easy slider will grow or shrink to its container. So in the advanced layout editor you can put it in a column element to change the container of it.
The image size you choose just picks the size that gets inserted but the container still adapts the image to fit the container instead.
The footer widgets are there as placeholders so you just need to insert any widget into the footer widget areas and they will be changed. If you don’t want any, you can use blank text widgets.
