Since the automatic :-( wp update 4.1.2 my site has been destroyed.
There are no pages any more, much later I found them in entries. (And “restored” the site a bit)
On this way all my media files cannot not be found in the media folder.
The portfolio does not exist any more either.
I’m glad that the layer slider still works.
    As I’m new to wp:
How can I convert entries back into pages?
How and where could I find my media?
How can I get my portfolio back?

Would a downgrade to the previous version of wp fix my problems and bring my site back?
If so, how can I do this?
    Hoping for a fix
    Ulli

    Hi Ulli

I would like to remind you that this is a public forum and that we do not tolerate bad language. Please do not use it.

WordPress 4.1.2 update did not cause any issues on my local installation. Can you please try de-activating all active plugins and check if that helps?

    Best regards,
    Yigit

    Sorry for the language!

    Hey!

Do you mind creating a temporary admin login and posting it here privately?

    Cheers!

    Hi!

WordPress updates should not delete any of the entries or pages. Please ask your hosting provider to restore the site. We will test the WordPress 4.2 on our installation and report back to this thread immediately.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hey!

I just updated to WordPress 4.2 and everything works out OK. No deleted pages or portfolio items. Did you transfer the site? There is no way for us to restore the missing pages or posts so I’m not sure if we can be of any help regarding this issue. Please contact the owner’s hosting provider to restore the site.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hey!

Like Ismael said we cannot restore anything that has been removed or overwritten but your hosting company hopefully can. Please contact them to see if they can help restoring the site to the state it was in before the update.

    Regards,
    Rikard
