When I try to post the site to Facebook via status update, the default description of “ATheme that is created to be used as a One Page Template. With the help of a Template Builder you can create a single page which holds all your content.” comes up.
How can I change this? If it needs to be hard coded, let me know what file it is in.
Site is awesome p.s.October 19, 2011 at 4:41 am #54295
maybe you need to change/delete the “home” dummy content entry: http://www.kriesi.at/themes/coalition/#home – it contains the sentence:
One Page Portfolio
A Theme that is created to be used as a One Page Template. With the help of a Template Builder you can create a single page which holds all your content.
I think it’s a page.October 19, 2011 at 8:59 pm #54296
No page containing it.
I did a google site search to try and find it, with not luck.

The problem resolved by adding text to the home page, rather than just video.

That’s not good SEO, there should be a mata description tag. There’s not one at all in the template, nor an option to add the various meta tags. You promote those as “Code built with SEO best practice in mind”. If you can’t easily modify the meta description and page titles then this claim is untrue.
If you can update the theme to include these options I’m sure those of us that purchased the theme would be very appreciative. Thanks.November 8, 2011 at 6:22 am #54302
You can use tools like http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-seo/ or http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/ (Purchase code hidden if logged out) / – as most users use such plugins a “hardcoded” description tag (or a theme based meta tag) would result in redunant meta descriptions. “Code built with SEO best practice in mind” refers to the semantic code structure – that’s something a even a good seo tool can’t handle/repair.
