    Hi

Can anybody explain why my site takes so long to load?

    http://www.allkurd.com/amed

    Thanks in advance

Your site is too big. It has an overall size of over 2,5 MB!!! Everything over 1 MB causes slow loading times, something between 200kb-600kb is perfect.

I made a screenshot (file size analysing tool):

    Hey Dude

Before you replied i uploaded all my images to flickr and linked them to the site, so it’s actually a faster now, the only thing thats left is the intro pictures.

I can resize the intro pictures, but is there a way to resize the scripts or do you have any other advice?

also amed.dk is a forward of allkurd.com/amed does that slow the site down as well?

    thanks in advance

You can activate gzip compression on your server. It reduces the js and css file size dramatically (over 50% in most cases).

Yes – if you forward a site it always increases loading time (request to server, redirection, other requests, etc.)

My host doesn’t support any form for compression sadly.

    Thank you for your advice
