In Choices… when you click to open a portfolio post in AJAX, the page slides up, so that it better uses the depth of the page’s vertical depth. How can I make Coherence do the same thing?

Coherence also slides up when you clicked on a portfolio post, same as choices. You can check it here: http://www.kriesi.at/themes/coherence/template-files/portfolio-4-columns/

It’s not doing it for me, on Chrome or Safari. I’ll try to explain… The page doesn’t move, as the AJAX opens. The AJAX opens down from wherever the page was when you activated it.
on Choices, the page will move up AS the AJAX opens down. To the same spot by the category sorting links, etc.
Does that make sense?… can I get Coherence to also do this?

Thanks Devin… but I don’t think we’re communicating this concept somehow. I’m looking at your online demos, not just my installs. Your demos online at Them Forest do the same thing. Please watch this screen video I made to illustrate. It’s very short.

I was unable to watch that video on my laptop as nothing I have installed plays quicktime. On the ipad i gave up after 15 minutes. bad wireless. I am looking for a converter now.
From the little that I saw ,, the ajax portfolio works but works using an approach that you feel could be improved on?

Yes, thanks Nick.
in Choices… when you click on a portfolio thumb the AJAX opens it.. Up. To the same spot. Like there’s an anchor in there. It’s great, because it makes best use of the vertical space on the page while it opens.
But in coherance… no matter how far down on the page the portfolio thumb is, the AJAX opens.. Down… from that point. It doesn’t compensate and fill the vertical space by opening.. Up.
Thank you for looking into this.December 22, 2012 at 4:55 am #101075
I took a look and now understand, Laptop height cuts that movement for me. I compared the Coherence portfolio jQuery to Choices and Eunoia Themes and they are quite different. This would require some serious modifications and a time investment which I think is outside the scope of the support team.
