Firstly I would like to thank you for creating such a great theme, I’m very impressed with the versatility and customisation options. I only have one issue and it’s been doing my head in.
If you go to my website (not finished yet) : http://gregandaudreysgarage.com and take a look at the product slider, you will see the size of the images is really big. I have tried changing the settings in the config file and regenerating thumbnails but it isn’t making any difference. The most frustrating thing though is that if you right click and save the image, it actually saves at the size it is SUPPOSED to be, it’s like the slider is zooming them bigger or something. Not only that but some are at really weird sizes that I cannot find in any settings whatsoever. I’m not sure what I am overlooking to get all these thumbnails to the correct size so if you could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it immensely!

Could I get a Moderator to look at my problem please, I’ve seen other threads getting attention that were started after mine, yet no answer to this one at all and it’s a little frustrating. =/August 31, 2012 at 5:55 am #89094
Please check your product slider settings. Go to the dynamic template builder, expand the product slider options tab and check which value is set in the “Shop Columns” option field. I guess it’s set to 3 at the moment and you can select 4 or 5 columns instead.August 31, 2012 at 6:53 am #89095
You. Are. Awesome. Thanks so much, I was so busy going through lines of code that it didn’t even occur to me that it would ever have anything to do with that. Would you have any idea about the inconsistency in the size of some of the thumbnails? Even after regeneration the thumbnails of the tights are still different, would that have everything to do with the original size of the uploaded image?September 4, 2012 at 2:24 pm #89096
Yes, the thumbnails will take the original image size into consideration to a point. I believe for the catalog view, the images are resized 300x300pixels and if the image isn’t a sqaure it will resize the longest edge to fit the 300px size. You can change this in your theme files in the folder woocommerce-config and in that config.php. Look for:
$avia_config['imgSize']['shop_catalog'] = array('width'=>300, 'height'=>300);
They are then further shrunken down depending on how many items you have set to be viewed on the shop page.
