    Hi There!

    The slider is not displaying images on IE8. If there is a workaround, I would love to know it, and if not, I would like to just have it display a static image on IE8. Is this possible?

    thanks
    Gus

    Hey!

    SwipeMedia – the slider seems to work for me (I tested it with IETester and IE11 developer console). I can only reproduce the logo issue. If you want to resize it for i.e. user insert following code into the quick css field

    .avia-msie-8 .logo img, .avia-msie-8 .logo, .avia-msie-8 .logo a{
    max-width: 231px !important;
    max-height: 150px !important;
    }

    and change the max-width/max-height values to your logo image size (or to any other dimension if the default image height exceeds the menu container).

    Cheers!
    Peter

    Hey!

    The css on those items isn’t supported in IE8. So it just doesn’t render them and instead fallsback to what it can show.

    Cheers!

    So there’s just no way to get the slider to display on IE8? Or a static image? Can I exclude the whole slider area in IE8 then?

    Hi!

    Yes, in header.php replace:

    </head>

    with

    <!--[if lt IE 9]>
    <style type="text/css">
    #slideshow_big, .thumbnails_container_wrap{
    display: none !important;
    }
    </style>
    <![endif]-->

    </head>

    Cheers!

    Hi Dude,

    This isn’t working for me… I still see the header when I tried this.

    Hey!

    You’re using a different theme – try following code instead

    .avia-msie-8 #top .avia-layerslider{ display: none !important; }

    and insert it into the quick css field.

    Regards,
    Peter

    Thank you!! Is there also a simple code that I can put in to display a single image? Or is this my best option?
