    I can not get the slideshow manager to work. When I use the slideshow manager for the mainpage slider, the images do not show up on the frontpage. I only get a little red “CU3ER” displaying. Is there a fix for this?

    Please try to use config.xml instead of the image manager. Sometimes the server generates the xml too slow and so cu3er doesn’t work.

    I did try to use the xml, however, one of the main reasons that I purchased this theme was the ease of use in the slider manager. Are you telling me that the slider manager does not work at all? Is there any way to get it to work? I am having touble using the xml, as I am no expert. Please let me know if there is any fix for the slider manager, as this would be preferred. Thank you.

    Hey,

    If you’re using shared (cheap) hosting there are often severe restrictions on memory allocation / script loading times so your site won’t slow down the other sites hosted on the same server. As a result some scripts (such as the one which controls Cub3r) will be stopped before they finish loading.

    Create a new file in the root called phpinfo.php and insert this content:

    <?php phpinfo(); ?>

    then upload to your site. This provides extensive information about the server environment including limits on memory when viewed in a browser.

    By default, WordPress will allocate 32Mb of memory to your site. In your phpinfo.php file, you can see how much memory is allocated (some hosts will only provide 8Mb per site) – if the memory available to you is higher than 32Mb then add this line to wp-config.php changing 64Mb for the value provided in phpinfo.php:

    define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '64M');

    Let me know how you get on.

    I also have problems with “CU3ER”. If active works as a Macintosh (firefox, Safari, Chrome), in windows OS a little red “CU3ER” displaying and not to start the images (explorer, firefox, Safari, Chrome).

    Do you have a link for us?

    Unfortunately the site is online and I had to use the version with javascript and fades.

    The defect is similar at:

    if it were true that depends on the slowness of the server, it should give the problem on both platforms: Macintosh and Windows.

    How then to Macintosh and works well with all browsers?

    First my answer you quoted above was given to someone else who just reported that the slider dosn’t work at all – we had some cases where the server generation was too slow and so the slider didn’t work. Second even if the slider works on Macintosh but not on Windows it can be a problem with the php processing time because the initialisation process (javascript execution, etc.) can be different from browser to browser, from one os to another os.

    ok. Will mean that I will try with the instructions given to another user and does not solve the problem it will communicate

    Hello,

    I am making a site locally but my slider also doesnt work.

    I too only get a little red “CU3ER” displaying.

    I am a newbie in wp and code (a designer! :), so is there a way to fix the slider without editting the xml file?

    Hey,

    I can’t help you without some informations. Maybe try to get the site online so I can have a look at your settings, etc. The easiest solution is to use the config.xml though.
