Fixed it! Didn't see the string around Avisio updates until after I posted. Updating the theme fixed all. Thanks for all your support. You are a great team!

Hi,
I have the same problem and I updated the theme version, but the slider is still not working. I looked for an area related to "Avisio updates" but I couldn't find it. Your help will be appreciated.Posted 1 year ago # -
I had to revert to the prior WP version.
I couldn't replace images.
Logo and menu bar are now "out of whack" .
Any ideas?
Thanks.Posted 1 year ago # -
Hey,
we couldn't reproduce any js errors with a clean wordpress installation. Please deactivate all plugins and activate them one by one to find the conflicting one - very likely one is conflicting with the new jquery version. The newest avisio version is v.1.2.1.Posted 1 year ago # -
Beatriz, to upgrade the theme I went to the Avisio them on Themeforest.net and downloaded the entire theme. Look for the Word file named "Version," which contains a list of the file and folder changes needed to upgrade for v.1.2 and v.1.2.1. These are the files in that list:
Version 1.2.1 File Updates:
file: js/custom.js fixes a IE 9 issue with preloading images
file: framework/fonts/cufon.js fixes a IE9 issue with font displaying
file:style.css: version numberVersion 1.2 File Updates:
file: style.css: changed version number
file: js/custom.js changed plugin aviaslider to fix internet explorer "white dots bug"
file: js/custom.js changed ajax contact form sending
file: js/custom.js changed function my_lightbox to guarantee jquery 1.5 compatibility
folder: js/prettyphoto: updated prettyphoto to latest version for wordpress 3.1 compatibility
folder: framework/shortcodes/ improved various shortcodes
file: header.php: changed dynamic style rules for wordpress 3.1
file send.php urlencodes data sent by the ajar contact form
file: framework/classes/ kclass_advanced_css_style.php styleswitcher bugfix
file: theme_options/portfolio.php /portfolio permalinksBecause I customized the theme for my website, I replaced only those files. This fixed my slider issue. You might check to make sure you replaced all of them. Hope this helps!

Hello Vlane and Dude,
thank you both for you help. I was able to get the website back to normal.
I was also able to download the latest version from here: http://themeforest.net/item/avisio-business-and-portfolio/113278The problem was that I was downloading from MY downloads section, and I was still getting version 1.1
Regards,
Beatriz

I just noticed that the slider doesn't work (the images do not load) when the plugin "W3 Total Cache" is on.
Do you have any particular suggestions about working around this plugin?Posted 1 year ago # -
This is written now as point of reference for anybody else having a similar problem using Avisio 1.2.1 + WordPress 3.2 + W3 Total Cache plugin: this combination doesn't work. I checked all plugins looking for conflict, and the only way that I got the slider to work again was by reverting (again) to WP 3.1. I am not a plugin or JS developer, so maybe somebody that is will be able to give some advise?
Thanks!

If you're using the newest version of w3tc it's an issue with the plugin and not with the theme. Since version 9.2.0 the file minification doesn't work properly. If you stick with version 9.1.9 everything should work. I use the combination Avisio 1.2.1 + W3TC + WP3.2 on my website and it works flawlessly.

Yes, I can see now the issue is with the plugin. I have found many people are having similar problems with the latest release of W3TC. the problem is, I cannot find a single place from where to download a copy for version 9.1.9 for this plugin. If anyone knows where I can get a copy of W3TC 1.9.1, I will GREATLY appreciate it if you let me know where to go.

I currently have Avisio 1.2.1, WP3.2, & W3TC 0.9.2.3 Working without any issue. However, I have Minify in W3TC off, and I'm using WP Minify instead. Reason being, WP Minify allows you to add exceptions for files you don't want minified. If W3TC has this option, I was not aware.
I found the following JS files need to be excluded from minifying in order for the slider to work:
http://allurexpressions.com/wp-content/themes/avisio/js/custom.js?ver=3.2
http://allurexpressions.com/wp-content/themes/avisio/js/prettyPhoto/js/jquery.prettyPhoto.js?ver=3.2And these for my fonts to show up correctly:
http://allurexpressions.com/wp-content/themes/avisio/framework/fonts/josefine_small.font.js
http://allurexpressions.com/wp-content/themes/avisio/framework/fonts/cufon.jsMinifying just didn't play nicely with those files for me.

Yes - my mistake. Version 0.9.1.9 doesn't exist. I use 0.9.1.3 - you can download it here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/w3-total-cache/download/
