Hello,
Is there a limit to the number of images I should be putting in the slideshow without it getting overloaded?
Does it take less memory if I put the slideshow "not autoroatate" by default?
There wouldn't be any way to place the slideshow somewhere else on the page than at the very top, would there?

1) There's no limitation within the code but I'd not add more than 7-10 slides. Especially mobile devices and netbooks have weak cpus and there RAM is quite limited too.
2) I don't think so but I'm not sure. I'll ask Kriesi if he can comment on this issue.
3) You can try to use the template builder - basically you can position the slideshow element everywhere - even after the content area/element.
