If you have troubles since the update to WordPress 4.5 please read this post before opening a new thread.
How do I get the slideshow image to be flush against the top menu (as on the demo)?
The frontpage demo is created using Template Builder. Just add the slideshow element first on your template.
Okay. I managed to create a template with the slideshow element listed first. Then, I changed (on the edit screen of the page) changed the “Overwrite default post layout” to “Dynamic Template” and then switched “Dynamic Template” to the name of my new template. All changes were saved. However, the photo has a wide border around it. I want it to be flush against all sides as is on the demo.
There should be no borders there. Can you give us a link?
Please check the Slideshow layout and see if it is full width.

Not sure where to look to check the Slideshow layout to see if it is full width.
If its a matter of me re-sizing the image, I can certainly do that. However, I need to know what the exact dimensions should be.
Nevermind. I found out how to change the layout under the page edit screen.
I’m in the same situation. After having a template created, “the photo has a wide border around it. I want it to be flush against all sides as is on the demo”. Could you tell me how to change the layout under the page edit screen?
