    Hi! I’m trying to set up the captions for my slider but the captions won’t show up. When I inspect the code I see that the captions are below the image (but not displayed), so it seems to be a CSS-issue. Anyone who has a clue?

    Hey basjonne!

    Can you post the link to your website?

    Best regards,

    http://polyfieldhill.com/ , Slide 1

    The text in the image is not real text, it’s just a image for test purpose. I’ve entered caption for slide 1, not the others. Can you see what’s wrong?

    Thank you!

    Hey!

    Please add following code to Quick CSS in Replete theme options under Styling tab

    #top .slideshow { overflow: visible; }
    .slideshow_inner_caption { top: -164px; }

    Cheers!

    Thanks! But why do I need to do that? Is it in the documentation?
    More documentation about the slideshow would have been appreciated. Great work with theme though!

    Best regards,

    Hey!

    It should be displaying it by default. One of the plugins (if you are using any) might be causing the issue. You can remove CSS code i posted above and deactivate all active plugins and check if that helps. If not, you can try re-installing the theme in case something went wrong while installing
    For a quick guide on updating your theme take a look at this video on updating the theme via FTP: https://vimeo.com/channels/aviathemes/67209750

    Cheers!
