    Hi there,

    I’ve got a very weird problem in my Angular website;

    When you’re in the Portfolio view and you click on an item with multiple images the slideshow controls show up fine. However when you start browsing from one item to another using the – and +, the slideshow controls triplicate themselves and stop working. So instead of 4 dots and 2 arrows, there are suddenly 12 dots and 6 arrows???

    Almost all of my portfolio items have multiple images, but that shouldn’t be a problem?

    I did made some tweaks to the theme, but nothing that could have affect the slideshow functionality like this…

    Anyone else having these issues? Suggestions are welcome!

    Thanks, Toine

    Hi Toine,

    Try disabling all your plugins and check if the issue still persists.

    Hi Ismael,

    Just deactivated all my plugins and the issue still occurs.

    Hmm, weird… Apparently this line in my custom.css was causing the duplication:

    .numeric_controls, .arrow_controls {position:relative; }

    But somehow I still have duplicate controls in the slideshow_container div, you just can’t see them anymore:

    <div class="numeric_controls slide_controls">

    <div class="arrow_controls slide_controls">

    <div class="numeric_controls slide_controls">

    <div class="arrow_controls slide_controls">

    <div class="numeric_controls slide_controls">

    <div class="arrow_controls slide_controls">

    Don’t have a clue what I have done different?

    No that wasn’t it either…

    In the file: includes/helper-templates.php I added the following function at line 1253 after ‘the_content’

    social_share_buttons($id, true, true, false, true, false);

    In functions.php I added this function: http://pastebin.com/fd7unzGW

    Which works great on the ‘loop-portfolio-single.php’ and ‘single.php’ templates but apparently not on the portfolio overview page.

    It somehow messes up the slide controls.

    Any thoughts what might be causing this?

    Thanks!

    Hi Toine,

    Try to create a backup of your theme files, then try to remove the function you have added and check the site again if it still has those issues.

    It’s hard for me to reproduce the same error as I don’t have those tweaks, if the issue still persists on your site, I would like to ask to download a new copy of your theme from themeforest, switch to another theme like twentyeleven, delete your old angular theme(make sure you have made backup of the theme files before doing this), install the new angular theme. Check the site if it still has those issues, then add the tweak one by one while checking the site after each tweak, to check what really causes the issue.

    Regards,

    Ismael
