I am seeing on my website as well as on your live demo that when the slideshow is on auto-rotation if you click to play the video within the slideshow that the slideshow doesn't stop while the video is playing. The video slide goes away, the next slide appears, but the video is still playing. Is there a way to correct this?

yes, someone is here. I have no idea how you could do this, I'll notify Kriesi and ask him if he knows a solution.

unfortunately I wasnt able to find a solution for that by now. the video interacts on a different iframe and I cant really trigger any events in that iframe. Once I have found a solution I will of course update but this is something tht bugs me for weeks now and no one, not even google seems to have a good solution :/
