My front page slider does not work but it is working on all other pages.
So I changed home to be a page where the slider is already working… the slider does not work when it is the home page.
Is there special setup for the front/home page?
Try creating a Frontpage template with the Template builder that has a Slideshow element at the top. Make sure the element is set to Display the slideshow of this entry.
Just to be sure there are no plugin conflicts, turn off all plugins you have on except bbpress and WooCommerce and see if the issue remains.
I am experiencing the same thing.
I have a page using a dynamic template and the slideshow works when I visit the page, but when I set the page to be the front page, it doesn’t work.
At first I thought it might be a jQuery conflict, but there are no jQuery errors showing, and when I view the source code, it’s not even outputting the content for the slide.
========= EDIT ========
I’m running version 1.2.1, downloaded today.
I went to Settings > Reading and set the front page to the page and now it’s working.
So I think it’s an issue with the option in the Theme Options panel when you set the “Frontpage Settings”
That setting makes it seem like it overrides the setting on the Settings > Reading page. . .maybe it’s supposed to, but for me that appears to be the issue.
Thanks for the solution that worked for you. I wasn’t able to reproduce it myself but it shouldn’t *need* to change the wordpress option.
dbvdb, just let us know if you are still have the issue after trying the above suggestions.
