    Hi guys,

First off congratulations on the theme, I’m really impressed.

Can you advise whether it’s possible to change the function of the social icons in the header, so instead of letting users follow my Facebook/Twitter page, instead it let users like my site, or tweet about it?

I’m keen to keep the buttons for aesthetics, but don’t want to create a twitter/facebbook page.

    Thanks in advance

    Alan

To be honest I don’t know how to do this (as far as I know you need to add additional scripts, etc. to the website which then connects your website to the share services). I’ll mark this thead for Kriesi – maybe he can help you.

Hm, I am not sure about this either. You will probably need to find a script that lets you create custom facebook buttons, nbut i wasnt able to build such a script without getting the actual fb-like box. Not sure if this is possibel at all. Do you have any reference of someone who uses a custom button that way?

    Hi Kriesi

Thanks for looking into the query, I can’t find any other sites using buttons this way.

I’m beginning to think it isn’t a good idea, I don’t want to take liberties with people’s social accounts.

They may get annoyed if they were expecting to look and my facebook page, and instead finds that i have set it to like my site!

I appreciate your help, the topic can be marked as closed.

    Thanks again

    Alan
