If you have troubles since the update to WordPress 4.5 please read this post before opening a new thread.
Anytime I go to my website and clink on the social icons or a website link I post under portfolio items, they open up on the same page. I would like them to open up to a new page. I don’t want this to take some one out of my website. Shouldn’t it be this way anyways? Can you correct this? Or how can change this setting? It doesn’t seem like I could do it myself.
Also, under, for example my portfolio, particularly – Photography, the title, I guess is long and gets cut off – how can this be fixed? I don’t want to shorten title. The word Photography gets cut off.
Sorry for redundancy, I found a old post that showed me how to get social icons to open up on a new page. Thanks for that! But I still need help with the rest. Also, wanted to add one more thing… How do I add links to the footer?
Open includes > helper-social-media.php, find this code
$html .= "<a href='".$icon['social_icon_link']."'>".ucfirst($icon['social_icon'])."</a>";
Replace it with
$html .= "<a target='_blank' href='".$icon['social_icon_link']."'>".ucfirst($icon['social_icon'])."</a>";
