In the blog posts or the contact page the social media buttons that I’ve found on the Word Press apps section all show a spinning circle. I would like to have buttons without the circle. If you click on my “comments: section you can see this in action.

    Thank you

    Hi Aaron,

Are you still having the same issue? I just took a look at the blog post comments from the 21st of February and don’t see the issue you are describing.

My apologies. I was not clear enough. It is whenever I use a social media plugin. It is not in the blog comments section but in the connect/comments section under the facebook plugin. Anytime I use a “twitter, facebook” plug in, the spinning circle is present.

    thank you,

Ahh I see now. Without seeing the issue live, I can’t attempt to offer any kind of solution.

Take a look at this thread: http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/useful-plugins

Some good plugins that are recommended and might offer an alternative to what you had been trying before.

Does this mean your can’t see it in the comments section using the facebook plugin? Hmmm, interesting. I will take a look at the link you’ve shared.

Hi – are you using any facebook plugins? I am using wordbooker which posts blog updates to my facebook page. Once I loaded flashlight something went wrong with wordbooker and I had the same problem you have. I didn’t realise what it was until today, I deactivated it, reactivated it and went to its settings. I switched off everything except posting to my facebook page ( I already use add this for facebook and social media buttons) and now it’s ok. Just wondered if this was your problem or if it might point you in the right direction.

Well, thanks for the advice. I’m using the FB css for a comment box. If I use css from twitter or FB and plug it into the pages, the plugins work, but that’s where I get the spinning circles.

I am also having this problem. I have gone through 5 different social media button plugins. All of them end up with little spinning circles sort of under them, or beside them. It looks really bad. Here is what it looks like on a page:

Can we get rid of these spinning circles?

    #64966

    Hey,

The circles in the background can be removed from the share buttons by adding this to your Quick CSS or custom.Css

    .dd_post_share iframe{background:none !important;}

Please link to any other pages where this is occuring so we can provide specific instructions.

    I hope this helps :)

    Cheers,

    Chris

Here are links to the pages with spinning circles.

Both show spinning circles in the facebook plugins. Whether I add a twitter plugin or a FB plugin, this is what happens.

    Thanks,

I think facebook uses the preloading class somewhere within the iframe.- The only “workaround” I can think of is to delete the preloading image. Go to wp-content/themes/flashlight/images/skin-minimal/ and delete the loading.gif.

I am very sorry, but being a true amateur at this, I am not sure where to find the mentioned directories.

    Hi,

You can find it in your site directory(public_html).

    Ismael,

That is still Greek to me, and I am not a Grecian. Perhaps it is something that is too advanced for my taste, but if there is a way for you to explain how to get into my site directory (public_html), I may figure it out.

    Thank you,

    Aaron
