My website is continually creating Soft 404s, currently redirecting 200+ of them… Every time I clear and publish a few articles, they start to pile up again. Very often, the Soft 404 URL ends in “/?s=”
Do you have any idea what this is, why my site is creating so many of these, and what I can do to prevent going forward? It’s a lot of legwork to fix. Thanks!

Thanks Victoria. It doesn’t seem that a solution was actually come to regarding the issue. It’s a lot to read through so I may have missed something. Doesn’t look like it’s a setting or “Quick Code” issue. Am I correct in saying this?

    Hi,

    you’re correct.

However, the solution provided by Ismael should work. I guess the issue is not really theme related, as you would have the issue with another WP theme as well.

    Best regards,
    Andy

Thanks. Just put this in Quick CSS?

I put this in Quick CSS (per the thread) and it changed the font all over my website. Had to take it out.

    Hi!

No, it should be in robots.txt file. For more information please see – https://kriesi.at/support/topic/links-to-404-pages/#post-588813

Thanks Yigit, unfortunately I can’t decipher where to find this file in Bluehost. I’m assuming this is a back-end file, yes?

    Hi!

File should be in the root of your WordPress installation which you can access using FTP or cPanel. If it is missing, you can create one. Unfortunately, such customization is out of the scope of our support

    Regards,
    Yigit
