    This is a strange one. Can anyone tell me why the post at the top of this category archive isn’t showing?

    It happened with another post too and I had to change the permalink and do a 301 redirect.

    I’ve also seen something strange when editing an existing page. The permalink of the page changes to the permalink for another existing post. Really odd.

    Any clues?

    Hi crashtestmummy,

    Permalinks with wordpress are kind of quirky. Sometimes they just need a refresh but other times its a bit more in depth. Check out the codex on troubleshooting tips and see if any of them help http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks#Fixing_Permalink_Problems

    Hi,

    Do you have a caching plugin? Or any other plugin for that matter? Please deactivate them, see if the issue is fix. Activate them one at a time to find the chaotic plugin.
