Hi there, I’m using the Velvet theme for my site and I have two issues:

    1. First there seems to be excessive slugishness in the backend when I’m adding a featured images and I click from the “From Computer” tab to the “Gallery” tab. I have 403 photos, but they are all no larger than 1024px. I spoke with my server and they suggested a caching plugin “W3 Total Cache”, which did not help. I also went into phpMyAdmin and optimized the database, which did not help. Any insight into this issue?

    2. I have a mailchimp widget installed in the footer of my website and it disappears on every other page except the homepage.

    Site is:

    1) I tagged this post for Kriesi’s attention. I’m not sure if it’s possible to improve the loading speed of the media gallery, etc.

    2) The mailchimp widget displays properly on every page: Image and video hosting by TinyPic

That image you took is of the home page where the mailchimp widget works. Did you try on another page?

Ok, it seems that the widget is working now. Not sure what happened. I’m still having major speed issues in the add media window.

Maybe it was a browser cache issue? I notified Kriesi about your request.

Hmmmm…. you may be on to something. I switched from Google Chrome to Safari (first time I’ve tried that to speed things up) and it’s moderately quicker.

Let us know if you experience any other issues.
