    i went through the steps you outlined but the theme is still not right. I cant add elements or move them around. also some of my widgets are’nt working like the testimonials slider and icon list. Please let me know next steps thanks

    It is needed in some cases. You can remove it and check it once again, if you still have issues, you can add it back.

    I had to leave the code in. the post said it would be obsolete soon. how will that impact my site?

    Once i removed the code and put it back in the editor stopped working properly. the site looks ok but i am unable to add content elements or layout elements i hard cleared the cache
