    Hi,

    Just thought I’d ask this – as it might save me some work… Is it possible for the images to be resized so that the bottom of the image never appears behind the thumbnails of the background slider – that is just ‘blank’ background appears behind the the thumbnails. I’m just wondering if moving the position of the centre of the available window for the images up a bit say 60-120px might do the trick, or just redefining the available window to not include the area of the thumbnails might do it.

    The alternative would be for me to upload images which have a section at the bottom the same colour as the background – problem with that is that might be imperfect for different screen sizes and images.

    Hi,

    No you can’t do it. It will break the layout of the page and the responsiveness of the site.

    Actually, you can move it on top a little but I think it will cut off the top part of the images.

    .avia_fullscreen_slider li {
    top: -66px !important;
    }

    Hi Ismael,

    Thanks – that worked in raising the images to above the thumbnails – but you were right – the top of the images was cut off. Is there any way of having the window resized a little so that the vertical dimension is less as well. That would do it. But maybe it willl break it? Is it possible?

    Hi,

    It is complicated. The width and height of the background slider are not specifically defined. It depends on the browser size. I’m sorry but I think this is not possible.

    Hi Ismael,

    I understand, but the same would apply to the images as they are resized according to the browser size also. Could the images not be resized to the browser vertical size minus 66px or whatever the relationship is?

    My other option would be to have the images all have a 66px border at the bottom so that the border would go behind the thumbnails. Would that be possible? I am also wondering about the effect of different browsers and screen sizes and therefore this solution is unlikely to be perfect.

    Therefore I think the modification of the background slider image resizing and positioning would be the best solution if it can work…

    Hi Ismael,

    Just a thought – would it be possible to have some sort of ‘hide thumbnails’ button which would hide the thumbnails – the user would still be able to scroll left and right or use the slideshow.

    This in effect happens when you go hit the home button to go back to the main menu – just that I don’t want the menu to appear – just the thumbnails to disappear/reappear on hitting an extra button that would be on the bottom next to the ‘image 1 from x’ button.

    Hi,

    I’m sorry but this is beyond the scope of our job as a theme support. You might need to hire a freelance developer to do create additional functionality and modify the theme for you.

    Cheers,

    Ismael

    Hi Ismael,

    Thanks – I’ll try that. OK I’ll try codeable.io ….

    Thankyou anyway.

    Michael
