If you have troubles since the update to WordPress 4.5 please read this post before opening a new thread.
On the portfolio feature I want to be able to show my choice of Featured Image which I enter using the WordPress Featured Image facility.
I can upload the Featured Image and it shows in the admin but as soon as I enter an image into the Slideshow gallery it overwrites the Featured Image.
Crucial for my site design – grateful for any assistance.
WordPress Featured Image – Is this some kind of plugin? Flagship doesn’t support the default WordPress Featured Image because it has its own Featured Media meta box that you can use to upload images for the slider. The first image that you uploaded using the Featured media section will be used as your featured image.
Not a plug in – I need to be able to have a thumbnail for the portofolio that is not in the slideshow.
I have added in support for the standard WordPress Featured Image and need to be able to use this – can you advise which bit of code I need to adjust to enable this?
Many thanks in advance
You can go to the Theme Options> Layout & Settings then look for Slideshow behavior on overpages to change the way the slideshows work. Using the third option “Display only single image on overview pages and all slideshow images except the first one on single entries” will make it so that the first image in your featured gallery will be used as a preview thumbnail but will not show up on the actual single page.
As far as I know, the theme is unable to be modified to use the default Featured Image function from wordpress.
