After WooCommerce updated to version 2.4.1, my Enfold ecommerce site has a sudden problem with the store. All variable products are showing up as not available with this error message: “Sorry, this product is unavailable. Please choose a different combination,” and not showing the designated image for the color variation.

Everything was working perfectly without any changes on my part at all.

I have gone over all WooCommerce product and attribute setups and settings—for hours, and all are set up correctly. I have tried everything and have a request for help into WooCommerce.

However, I thought there may be some problem with Enfold and this new version 2.4.1 of WooCommerce.

I have just received the photography for the store and was going to start creating the actual products, then the store broke. Is there any help you can give me. If the store is broken and I cannot fix it, I am out thousands of dollars and will lose the client as well. Right now it is broke and no orders can be made. I am too committed to this site to start from scratch on another platform.

    Can you help?

    Hi Blaircomm
I too did an update yesterday and all my variable products started displaying as ‘Free’.
After hours of searching for a solution, the only thing I could do was to reload an earlier version of Woocommerce from a back-up which sorted the issue.
I think it’s a Woocommerce error so I’ll just have to wait and not update it.

Hi @blaircomm could you try going back a version to see if that helps? @jpdesignecomm thanks for sharing!

    Thanks,

That’s exactly what I did late last night. I have now set up a mirror ecommerce site migrating from backup files in a new subdirectory. It is running WooCommerce Version 2.3.13 and again works perfectly. It will remain Version 2.3.13 as that is the last version of WooCommerce that works for us so far.

The only other data I have found is on GitHub. An earlier release had similar problems: https://github.com/woothemes/woocommerce/issues/4373

Also more data on https://github.com/woothemes/woocommerce and https://woocommerce.wordpress.com.

In the future I will always run duplicate sites in separate subdomains so that I can test out all updates without affecting ecommerce and losing money and time. This was a major setback and I hope WooCommerce will correct their bad code.

    Thanks for your response.

I have opened the issue on GitHub and have started getting some comments. You might want to follow it to see if there is anything of value that comes up.

Upgraded to WooCommerce Version 2.4.2. This did not fix the issue, it did nothing. All products still shown as unavailable.

This software no longer works for us for ecommerce. There are many others with this same issue. This update did not address the issue at all for us and the store is still broken.

Here is a link to see if this is an Enfold issue as well:

There are several other reports of this issue on the Enfold forum.
It is likely that Enfold is bundling an outdated add-to-cart template for variable products. Switching themes can confirm this..

I have done extensive testing and have narrowed down the issue to a plugin. Magic Zoom Plus, which interferes somehow with the variable product on the single product page—consequently WooCommerce marks it as unavailable and displays the error message. The product variations can be navigated and the selected image for each color comes up properly within a “Quick View,” plus can be ordered and added to the cart in this way. So, the basic functions of WooCommerce seem to be working and the Magic Zoom Plus version 4.5.41, (the current version,) plugin is incompatible with WooCommerce version 2.4.3.

I have the issue into the plugin author to see if he will provide an update to handle the incompatibility, if not I will go to another solution and test it again.

I wanted to give you the data for resolution—Enfold and other themes I have tried are all compatible and all react in the same way to this plugin.

I did not find this file in the Enfold root, but it may be an issue if Enfold includes this:

WooCommerce has a template file called:

    templates/single-product/add-to-cart/variable.php
Some themes are bundling an older version of this file and will need updating. In the meantime, look for:

    yourtheme/woocommerce/single-product/add-to-cart/variable.php
And rename or delete the file. This will cause the core WC version to be used in place until the theme is made compatible.”

    Thank you.

This issue has been fixed with the latest version of Magic Zoom Plus plugin v5.12.34. All current versions working now.

So what you are saying Basilis is Enfold is comparable with version 2.4.4? I’ve tried finding a direct quote that it is, both here and on the Themeforest site.

    Thank you!

    To confirm 110%

Enfold version 3.3 is compatible with
    wordpress version 4.3 and
    woocommerce version 2.4.4?

Please advise if this most current version setup has been tested and is confirmed to be working.
