    Hi there,

    I’d like to stretch my slider plugin the full width of the page.

    The page is: http://fivestoneapps.com/businesses/

    Hi,

    RoyalSlider should have fullwidth option. I do not have access to that plugin. You can try contacting plugin author

    Yes, the RoyalSlider is set for full width, however, the theme is not allowing it to stretch to the full width… Is there some CSS i can add to have it extend the full width of the page–similar to the big slideshow?

    Hi,

    You can try to insert it on a template via shortcode. Make sure that it is outside the “content” container. It will not go full width if you’re trying to insert it via editor. Let me tag Dude.

    Actually this should be possible out of the box. Add a color section to the advanced layout and insert some text into the “Custom ID” field (eg insert “aviarevolution” into the field). Afterwards place a text block into the color section and insert the RevolutionSlider shortcode into the textblock. Save the element and the layout template. At least insert following code into the quick css field to stretch the slider to the screen width

    #aviarevolution .container {
    width: 100%;
    }

    Dude,

    Thanks so much for your help. Unfortunately, I’m very new at this. Where would I do all of this? Where is the advanced layout section and where is the custom id field? How do I add a color section? Sorry, I’m a bit of a newbee…

    Hi,

    You can edit the page that you want. Click the Advance Layout Editor. It is a blue button.

    Add the Color Section element under the Layout Elements panel. Configure the Color Section element then scroll below, you’ll see For Developers: Section ID”. The Quick CSS field is located on Enfold > Styling, scroll a bit below then add Dude’s css code.

    #aviarevolution .container {
    width: 100%;
    }

    Please watch these videos to learn more about the theme: https://vimeo.com/channels/aviathemes

    Hi Ismael,

    For some reason the blue advanced layout editor button is not there. I see “add media” and beside it is “add contact form”. I tried opening the screen options at the top and looking for it, but there was no option for the advanced layout editor. Do you know how I can get this to show up?

    Thanks,

    Mark

    Btw I’m using the Replete theme…

    Hi Ismael,

    So I just watched the video and it makes sense. If I was using the Enfold theme that would work, but just to clarify, I’m using Replete, which does not have the Advanced Editor. Is there a way to do this without the advanced editor?

    Cheers,

    Hi,

    I’m sorry. My bad. Again, I think the solution is to insert it via do_shortcode on a page template.

    How do I do that?

    Hi,
    Replete does not support a fullwidth content element like Enfold and thus you can’t easily stretch sliders or any other shortcode content to fullwidth. I also missed that you posted in the Replete forum and this code modification ( http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/stretch-slider-plugin-full-width-of-page/#post-140568 ) will only work with Enfold.

    I’d suggest to hire someone here: http://www.microlancer.com/ (Envato freelancer marketplace) to implement a fullwidth slider into the Replete theme code.
