    Hi,

    I am using:

    .postid-2052 .content .box {

    width: 682px;

    }

    to style my posts but it does not seem to work on pages (only on posts). How should I do with pages?

    thanks

    Alex

    Hi,

    Try to remove the .postid-2052. It means you are targeting a specific page or post with the id 2052. Use this instead

    .content .box {
    width: 800px;
    }

    Change the width value.

    Hi Ismael,

    Thanks for your answer, but sorry I was not clear.

    I am indeed targetting some specific pages, I do not want to apply the styling to all pages and the styling seems to work on specific “posts” but not on specific “pages” … should I replace the “.postid” by “.pageid” or anything else ?

    Any idea?

    Hi alexthefunk,

    Try to use firebug to inspect the class of the body. You can check this video tutorial on how to use firebug: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yOOk3T3_nZ8

    After watching the tutorial, inspect the pages of your site and check the body’s class, you should see if its a .page-id-xxx or .post-id-xxx

    Hi!

    Yes – for pages you need to use:

    .page-id-1487 .content .box {
    width: 682px;
    }

    and replace 1487 with your custom page id.

    Great thanks! I did not try with the dash…

    >> Also, is it possible to set the width on a % rather than a fixed width? It does not look like it …

    Regards

    Yes and no. Yes because the css code supports it – eg use:

    .page-id-1487 .content .box {
    width: 100%;
    }

    but the entire theme layout and css framework is based on fixed widths – thus the % value doesn’t make much sense. Flashlight is not a liquid layout theme or responsive.

    Hey Dude,

    I did try the 100% but it was not working, I know I am being a bit pushy (as the template is stunning and you guys are also giving awesome support) but it would have been nice for some pages as I will be using the Justified-image-grid plugin sometimes! ex: http://www.alexandremarcphotography.com/ko-bloodline. (But this plugin is already helpful with a fix width page anyway, so no big deal)

    Another good feature of this plugin is that it switches on photoswipe rather than lightbox when the user is on mobile devices but the lightbox from the template is still launching on top of everything (hence my question in post: http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/disable-lightbox-on-mobile-device

    If you have another idea?

    Regards

    Hi Alex,

    I would say a solid no on a percent width. You’ll get all kinds of issues with cross browser compatibility if you try and heavy hand a liquid.

    You can use the Flexible Grid Gallery option on any page you want to be liquid if you really want to, and I believe it would even work without a theme gallery added in.

    Doing that will set all the various pieces to work with the main content area being flexible and without much fuss.

    Regards,

    Devin
