    Hi,

    I’m having trouble on one last thing… try as I might I cannot style the text for the page header/title for individual posts. Really hope you can help me because I am nearly done!

    Which file would I edit to change the title and get rid of the horizontal line about it on the page in my profile?

    I know it’s something to do with a extralight-border hiding somewhere, but I simply cannot track it down :(

    I’d like it as per the other pages of the site, obviously – I can do that I just need to know where! :)

    Thanks so much

    Harley

    Hello,

    If you are using the portfolio portrait layout, open includes > portfolio-portfolio.php and find this code

    echo avia_advanced_hr(false, 'small');

    Removing or editing this line makes no difference unfortunately.

    I don’t think this is the right file, because news categories also display exactly the same way (I have updated the link in my profile to one please have another look), it’s just that type of inner single post page, all the rest are fine…

    Thanks a lot

    Hi Harley,

    You can remove the horizontal line by adding this in your Quick CSS:

    .category-news .post-entry .entry-border-overflow.extralight-border {
    border: 0 !important;
    }

    You can also style the header/title of the post by using this css code:

    .first-heading.offset-by-one {
    font-size: 26px !important;
    font-weight: bold !important;
    }

    You can use other attributes to style. Just add the !important so the attribute value won’t be overriden. Hope this helps. :)

    The first bit of code removes the lines above and below posts, not the line above the title…

    And the second bit styles the titles of the posts, not of the page title…

    When on internal post pages, on the portfolio or for posts it is fine in the main blog page, but when you go to a category, the title style changes. I want to style this first top page title, and remove the line above it.

    Thanks, sorry it’s not straightforward I thought it would be!

    I’ve left the css in so you can see that it is missing the mark on the page in my profile

    Hi Harley,

    For the first bit of of code, replace it with this code instead:

    .category-news .entry-border-overflow.extralight-border {
    border: 0 !important;
    }

    This will remove all the horizontal line.

    For the Page Title, you can use this code instead:

    .first-title.offset-by-one {
    color: black !important;
    font-size: 40px !important;
    }

    I’m not sure if it’s the color or font size that you want to change but you can use the “.first-title.offset-by-one” selector to style the Page title. Hope this helps. :)

    If I’m missing something just post it. :)

    Regards,

    Ismael
