    Hi,

I read in the following post that portfolios can include include sub-categories, but the portfolios cannot be sorted according to sub-category.

    http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/subcategory-portfolio/#post-67516

Is there any way that I can sort the portfolios according to a tag? I will have be adding profiles of people who are organized according to profession, but I would like to make is to that people can be sorted according to that profession, without having to go back and change the portfolio settings every time I add add a new post. If I wanted to do this, what is the best way to do it? Is it possible to run a function to get all of the subcategories under a category so that the user can sort according to sub-category? This is expecially important to me because I want the same portfolio entries to be sortable according to the person’s profession, their race, and their discipline, each of which have many sub-categories in each of those umbrella categories.

Here is a link to the site: http://therealmofpossibility.org/

If this is beyond the role of the support team, is it possible for you to tell me which files I will need to direct a developer to look at? I love this theme, I just need the categorization sort to be more granular.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hello InterdisciplinaryInnovation!

This is a bit complicated and I’m not sure if Kriesi can add the feature immediately. A lot of his time is focus on Enfold. You can hire a freelance developer to modify includes > loop-portfolio.php.

    $avia_config['portfolio_sorting']

And you need to modify js > avia.js > avia_iso_sort function. I’ll tag Dude.

    Cheers!
    Ismael
