Hi,
I would like to modify the form in this feature by adding two extra fields such as "Category" & a drop down menu for Free submission & Paid submission.
How do I do this, please?
Can I just add extra fields into the "submit_news.php"?
If YES, please give example.

Yes that is how you'd do it.
Add something like this to the form
<p>
<label for="category">Category*</label>
<select name="Category" class="select_input is_empty" id="category">
<option value="Free">Free Submission</option>
<option value="Paid">Paid Submission</option>
</select>
</p>
