I have read the posts on how to add a new tab, etc. and I’ve done that with no problem, however, my entire product panel tabs don’t actually tab across. By that I mean, I have the tab labels at the top, but when you click on the label, it just takes me to the bottom of the page. The panel with all the tab information is in a vertical format vs. tabbing across and opening in its own table (like demo). It’s one large block/table and the description, additional information and specifications (new tab) are all in one table. Hope this makes sense – I don’t have a live site to show you.

We just can’t help you out without having a test site to inspect with. Adding a tab on woocommerce is a fairly complicated task with all the hooks and php files that you have to edit.

    This is an example http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/woocommerce-additional-image-tab.

I understand and thanks for the reply. I have added the tabs, following those same instructions earlier. I was just wondering why it was in a long table format. It’s been in this format even with the regular description, attributes and review tabs that came with the theme.

I want to add that when I switch themes, the panels/tabs work exactly like they’re supposed to, so where in the Abundance theme could this reformatting occur? It’s not CSS, it’s the actual functionality of it and it was like this from the point of the initial install. Do I need to reinstall everything? Thanks.

Abundance doesn’t change the tab layout. The theme specific woocommerce code can be found in abundancewoocommerce-configconfig.php

I think I’ve exhausted this and you can close this if you’d like, but before you do, can you please first tell me whether or not the tab panel should automatically function as demonstrated in the demo or is there something else I should code to make it function like the original woocommerce product panel? When I activate Abundance, it doesn’t tab over. Shouldn’t it? Thanks.

The tabs will be displayed if you’ve activated the “reviews” (actually they’re just comments) and/or if you want to display additional informations (table/data grid). If you don’t use any of these features you won’t see tabs.

Just in case anyone else has this issue or a box is checked that shouldn’t be, I solved the problem by unchecking the ‘Output WooCommerce JavaScript in the footer’ under Styles and Scripts in the Woocommerce General Settings tab. Now it behaves perfectly!

Glad that you found the cause :)

    Best regards,
