We have a page with a 1/1 Layout Element which contains a Text Block. The text block contains a list of hyperlinks. After saving the page the text block shrunk down to about a quarter of the width of the 1/1 layout element and is now wrapping many of the list elements onto 2 and 3 lines.

When I look at the text view of the text block there are no line breaks in those list elements that are doing this. There are however lots of unnecessary ul tags between the li tags. In some cases they are unmatched (at the top of the list), which would make them invalid HTML code.

I have done an experiment, when I paste in a list of links in the Visual view then switch to the Text view the code is clean. After saving the changes in the text block when I check the text view, all the unnecessary ul tags have been added.

    Hi mikehartrich!

Updating Enfold to 3.3.2 will fix the editor issues.

    Best regards,

Thanks Elliott. I updated Enfold. It didn’t fix the issue though. I had to manually go into the text view and delete all the unnecessary code that Enfold had added which was causing the problem. I also had problems with indenting the sub-elements of the list. When I selected a group of sub-entries in the list to indent, only the first one indented. So I figured I would have to do each one individually, which is a pain, but better than it not working at all. Every time I selected another element that bar popped up with the delete icon, edit icon (which did not help me) and it prevented me from simply indenting elements like I can in WordPress. Very frustrating. In the end I had to manually write the code to indent the list properly without the multiple, redundant ULs before and after EVERY single indented list element.

Now it’s laying out properly on the page. Which is good. But in the editor view, that text block has still shrunk to about a quarter of the size of the 1/1 element.

So I think the editor still needs some work. I’m a developer, so I can go in and write the HTML myself. But I’m guessing that many of your users are non-technical designers (like our designer) and end users who would not be able to edit the code in order to clean up after Enfold. If you have multiple pages with dozens of categories on each page, like we do then it’s not viable to have to retype and relink every one of them to fix the mess that Enfold has made.

    Hi,

Looking a the link you sent in your first post it looks like you got it fixed, correct?

    Thanks,

Yes, I had to delete it all and re-create it again.
