Hi Devin,
I am not talking the portfolio columns. I do understand that we only have 4 columns for the porfolio. but if you go inside my portfolio items.
supershaps, Artwork, and architecture I have Galleries there and when I change the number of columns for these galleries it does not change. I Have been waiting for this problem to be resoved for about a week now can you please resolve it.

The built in Wordpress Gallery is just fitting to the width of the portfolio sidebar where you have it placed. That Gallery item is not actually a part of this theme. If you want to use that style of Gallery, you should create single full width pages and insert the Wordpress Gallery there. Then link to those pages as your portfolio.
If you want the images for that Gallery to show up in the Slideshow of the portfolio, you need to add them to the Featured media. Its the box above your Yoast options.
