    Hello – I’m trying to use a javascript form on http://thesmarterscienceofslim.com/premium/ …please scroll to the bottom of the page. You’ll notice that there is a bunch of whitespace above the top of the form. The form producer is reporting:

    Elhanan: basically your theme is overriding the form css.

    →if i wanted to ask the theme builder to fix this, what should I tell him to do?

    Elhanan: ask them to identify where the coding conflict is in the theme settings.

    Elhanan: You should be able to view the code of the theme on each page.

    Elhanan: Somewhere in that code along with our form code are some extra code creating the spacing issue.

    Any help adjusting the theme to avoid this extra spacing is deeply appreciated. Note: you can see the same form with just HTML displaying the same issue at: http://thesmarterscienceofslim.com/ttest/

    Hi,

    The form renders a bunch of br tags. Please add this at the very bottom of style.css

    .moonray_forms.moonray_order_form.jb_768 form > br {
    display: none !important;
    }

    .entry br {
    display: none !important;
    }

    Regards,

    Ismael

    Hi Ismael – Thank you. When I add that code, it negates all br tags everywhere on the site. This causes many other pages to lay out incorrectly as we want the br tags to work on every other page. Is this a more localized way to fix this? Thank you

    Hi stunna42,

    Try just doing the:

    .moonray_forms.moonray_order_form.jb_768 form > br {
    display: none !important;
    }

    As it only effect the br tags within the form. The .entry br is what is causing it to effect all br tags within the entry content area.

    Hi Devin – Thanks for your reply. I tried this and it appears to have no impact. Please see the bottom of http://thesmarterscienceofslim.com/premium.

    Am I doing something wrong?

    Thanks again for your help.

    Hi,

    Please go back to the editor. Switch to Text mode then look for the & nbsp;  and br tags above the form. Remove them.

    Ismael

    Hi Ismael – That doesn’t seem to be the problem. Please see http://thesmarterscienceofslim.com/testor.html which shows the form on a plain HTML page. Like we were working on earlier, seems we need something like a way to ignore br tags or other causal elements of the CSS on a specific page http://thesmarterscienceofslim.com/premium only.

    At some point the form ID got changed so its now 909 instead of 768 so that is why the css isn’t taking effect. Eg, it should be:

    .moonray_forms.moonray_order_form.jb_909 form br {
    display: none !important;
    }

    If you can give the table all of the form and script is in a class name then you could do the same to that table.

    Hi Devin – Thank you. I’ve created http://thesmarterscienceofslim.com/oap-form-test to help isolate the issue. This page contains only a form with ID 701.

    Per your helpful guidance I added the following to style.css.

    .moonray_forms.moonray_order_form.jb_701 form > br {

    display: none !important;

    }

    Sadly, it didn’t do anything and I verified that I was modifying the right CSS file as Ismael’s more global suggestion from earlier did have an effect, but throughout the site (vs. just on this page…which is what we need).

    Hi,

    This will only affect the current page: http://thecaloriemythbook.com/?page_id=2330

    .page-id-2330 .post-entry.post-entry-type-page.post-entry-2330 .entry-content.clearfix br {
    display: none;
    }

    Regards,

    Ismael

    Hi Ismael – Thank you. We still need to fix the issue on the pages described here on http://thesmarterscienceofslim.com. Could you please help here.

    Hi stunna42,

    Please clarify what the issue is on that page.

    Regards,

    Devin

    Hi,

    You can try

    .page-id-9979 .entry br {
    display: none;
    }

    Regards,

    Ismael

    That did it! Woohoo! Thanks Ismael!
