I finally got around to updating Corona from 1.0 to 1.5 today (es, I know, I’ve been lazy) and it all went smoothly except that the Corona Theme Options Page in the admin section is now not working. Everything is all crowded onto the same page and without its CSS. And it won’t save any of my changes. The site is http:/teu.ac.nz. I’ve had a look and can’t find a similar problem listed here on the support forum. Have I forgotten something important as part of my update?
Make sure that you are using WordPress 3.5.1 first. Next, disable all active plugins, an update to the theme could have caused a previous non-conflict to become a conflict with the way things have changed with wordpress/theme functions.
I have done that – checked I am using WP 3.5.1 and disabled all the plugins but still have the same problem. I noticed I am also missing the CSS for the ‘featured media’ and ‘slideshow options’ boxes when creating a new post.
In that case, I would say try re-installing the theme files once again and see if maybe the first install didn’t get everything loaded in.
If that doesn’t work, you can try re-naming the new version of the theme, installing it again on your wordpress installation and then switching to it. You won’t have all of your theme options but you can then see if its a server issue causing it or if it could be a database corruption relating to your theme options.
Thanks – that seems to have fixed it. Gratefully, Stephen
PS – do you have a caching plugin you recommend as working best with the theme?
You can try http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/w3-total-cache/.
I use successfully http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/cachify/ with CORONA – it’s not such a “monster” plugin as the others
