I have two problems with the theme updates:

    1. If there is a new version of Sentence it will not announced in my wordpres dashboard (with other themes it works)

    2. If i try to upload the ne version of Sentence manually trough the wp admin it appears the error message that the directory/folder “sentence” allready exist.

    1) Yes because envato doesn’t offer an update notification system yet and Kriesi doesn’t want to use a custom one.

    2) WordPress does not allow you to overwrite the existing thee folder. You can use a ftp client software like filezilla to overwrite the updated files only (version.rtf tells you which files were updated). There’s no other solution because if you uninstall the theme with wordpress you’ll loose all your modified files too. Another solution would be to use a child theme – in this case you can add your custom style code, etc. to the child theme style.css which won’t be affected by the uninstall process.
