WordPress 3.4.1
Abundance 1.3.2
WooCommerce 1.6.5.2
Child Theme - Active
This isn't the first time that I've updated the Abundance theme, but it has been a while. With that said, when I install the latest version of Abundance (1.6) it seems to reset all of my existing theme settings (Theme Options & Templates).
My method of updating is to FTP the new files in a renamed folder (abundance_new) to the following location; domain.com/wp-content/themes/. Once it's uploaded, I rename the existing theme to something like 'abundance_old' and set the new one to 'abundance'. The whole time my child theme is the activated theme in WordPress. When I reverse my installation and rename the original theme back to 'abundance' the site goes back to normal.
I've never experienced anything like this before Does anyone have an idea as to why this might be happening? Is the new theme version 1.6 not compatible with WordPress 3.4.1? Is there another procedure that I need to be aware of to correctly update the theme?
Thanks,
-Tom
