theme upgrade breaks contact form

the upgrade is done so far. but there is one annoying thing.
i could not figure out to get the contact form working again.
it was with the display 1.4. version so it should work.
please help
t.

Hey,
go to Display Options > Contact Options and check if a contact page is set. Then click "Save".

Hi,

I have had an odd issue since upgrading to the latest version - all my messages from the contact form have %20 between words rather than spaces, and the email address when I try to reply to a message via the form is different to the one entered in the form.

Is this a common issue?

The form is left on default settings and untampered code.

I'm now getting the same issue with spaces in the sent email being replaced with the %20 code and the return email address being messed up - was there any reason and/or solution found for this?
