If you have troubles since the update to WordPress 4.5 please read this post before opening a new thread.
I have added a Featured Image to a post so that it displays in the accordion slider. On the post itself, this thumbnail has the magnifying glass icon as expected. When this is clicked, it expands the thumbnail and shows ‘next’ and ‘previous’ links. It also shows a mini thumbnail over the image.
How do I get rid of this?
in custom.js (located in the folder “js”) replace following code:
"theme": theme_selected /* light_rounded / dark_rounded / light_square / dark_square */ });
"theme": theme_selected, /* light_rounded / dark_rounded / light_square / dark_square */
overlay_gallery: false /* If set to true, a gallery will overlay the fullscreen image on mouse over */
Thanks for the code.
The tiny thumbnail has disappeared now, but it it still says next and previous on the enlarged image.
This also happens on the home page. I can’t put a site live where people will click the next or previous buttons on an image and get the same image over and over.
How does one prevent this?
I’ve just noticed that thumbnails in pages do not show the magnifying glass icon when you hover over the image. This seems like inconsistent behaviour with the posts.
Is there any way to make all thumbnails have one uniform behaviour as it is very confusing for the audience like this.
the next and prev. button problem is related to the lightbox code. Because it’s a third party script I’m not sure if i’s the standard behaviour or a bug. However you can’t deactivate these buttons without removing them completely.
Re thumbnail problem – can you post a link to a page where this problem occurs…
