Hello.

Thumbnails for images/portfolio items show up in a sidebar, widget, footer, etc. When I add a video - as a portfolio item in a fullsize featured 2d slideshow, I have a blank thumbnail. Is there a way to have a thumbnail for a video?

Hey,
currently it's not possible to generate thumbnails for videos (or only if the online video service supports it). You can create an thumbnail image though and link it to a lightbox video.

to show an image on the main page to show as the video i use the "Thumbnail" custom so it will show the thumbnail of that video. The downfall is that on the videos post page you will have the thumbnail as well.

Kriesi, You could create a default placeholder when a video is linked to a thumbnail. Just to have something there instead of a empty box. Like your icon "video" or something like it.
