    Is there a way to change the thumbnail size for images uploaded to galleries in the WordPress admin, ie individual pages where images have been uploaded to?

    I have background galleries with up to 50 images for slideshow pages. The drag-and-drop feature to reorder once images have been uploaded and saved is great. However the thumbnails are small and not proportional, so it is not possible to properly see which image is which. This is no problem with a page with 5 or so background images.

    But for my pages with slideshows, I would love to set the thumbnail size larger, so images can be identified, and then dragged to desired sequence.

    Any assistance to where might make changes for this display size are much appreciated. Thank you.

    Hey Michael!

    You can set the thumbnails sizes on functions.php, find this line of codes:

    $avia_config['imgSize']['widget'] = array('width'=>48, 'height'=>48 ); // small preview pics eg sidebar news, fullscreen slideshow thumbnails
    $avia_config['imgSize']['related'] 		= array('width'=>130, 'height'=>130);						// small images for related items
    $avia_config['imgSize']['masonry'] 		= array('width'=>240, 'height'=>9999, 'crop'=>false);		// masonry images
    $avia_config['imgSize']['portfolio'] 	= array('width'=>200, 'height'=>140);						// medium preview pic portfolio
    $avia_config['imgSize']['blog'] 		= array('width'=>430, 'height'=>9999, 'crop'=>false);		// image for blog posts
    $avia_config['imgSize']['fullsize'] 	= array('width'=>1500, 'height'=>1500, 'crop'=>false);		// big images for fuöösize slider

    Change the width and the height if you want then regenerate the thumbnails after using this plugin: http://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

    Cheers!

    Hi Daka,
    i suppose you mean the ‘Gallery Options’ in the page editing tool.
    I sorted this out for me, because in my wordpress administration the thumbnails were also scaled to 38px × 38px even though the real thumbnailsize was 240px*160px . With this size it is hard to see which picture is which one…or you have to click always the ‘show me’ link on every img.

    The following works for me. You should change the ‘avia_admin.css’:

    .avia_sortable_gallery_container .avia_gallery_image a{
    overflow: hidden;
    display:block;
    width:106px;
    height:70px;
    position: relative;
    z-index: 2;
    }
    .avia_sortable_gallery_container>.avia_set{
    height:70px;
    overflow: hidden;
    border:1px solid #e1e1e1;
    border-top:none;
    padding:5px;
    position: relative;
    }
    .avia_sortable_gallery_container .open_set{
    position: absolute;
    top:-5px;
    right: -5px;
    font-size: 11px;
    display: block;
    line-height: 36px;
    padding:10px 15px;
    z-index: 2;
    border:1px solid #e1e1e1;
    border-top: none;
    border-right: none;
    min-width: 27px;
    }
    .avia_sortable_gallery_container .avia_handle {
    display: block;
    position: absolute;
    height: 80px;
    cursor: move;
    z-index: 1;
    top: -5px;
    left: -5px;
    width: 106%;
    }
    #wpwrap .avia_sortable_gallery_container .avia_remove_set {
    display: block;
    height: auto;
    line-height: 44px;
    padding: 5px 30px;
    border:none;
    width: auto;
    position: absolute;
    bottom: auto;
    left: auto;
    right:71px;
    top:-5px;
    background: none;
    border:none
    outline: none;
    text-indent: 0;
    z-index: 2;
    font-size: 11px;
    font-style: italic;
    color:#bbb;
    }

    Hope this helps.

    That is precisely what I was looking for, Blogwaelter.

    Made changes to ‘avia_admin.css’, however there was no change in the display. I wonder why?

    Any ideas?

    Alright, did an extra cache clearance, restarted both computer and chrome, and it’s there. Mucho gracias for the needed code and location. A real time-saver! Would be wonderful to have in the next update of Flashlight as default. ;)

    Thread can be closed. Super happy.

    Hi!

    You can actually add the css modifications on Quick CSS or add it on custom.css file.

    Best regards,
    Ismael
