is there a simple way to display thumbnails below the image on a portfolio item, instead of just dots? I need to put 5+ images in each portfolio item and it would help usability a lot.
Portfolio layout: “Text right to small image”
I tried to solve the issue with putting in a nextgen gallery, but this will only display below the content on the right, so it’s not a solution.
Here is the page: http://www.see-gold.com/portfolio/verre-eglomise-signage/
Thanks in advance for help and suggestions.

For each portfolio item you just need to go to the Slideshow Options meta box under the visual editor. The dropdown option for “Portfolio Display Option” has an option to Disable Slideshow and then show images below each other. Just select this from that dropdown and save the portfolio item.

thanks for your input.
However, I don’t want to display all images in full size below each other, but I want the slideshow with small thumbnails underneath (where the 3 dots are now, that show which image is active).
Do you know a simple way to do that, or would it be better to just create pages with nextgen galleries for example. I prefer not to do that, because it would mean losing the nice portfolio functions of the theme.

No, that isn’t easily possible without doing quite a bit of customization to the way the theme handles the portfolio.

I don’t see the Disable Slideshow option in the visual editor for my portfolio posts. I only have “Autorotation active?” and “Slideshow autorotation duration”.
Coult it be fixed with code for each post instead?
I’m on wordpress 3.5, could that be the problem?
