I know this theme was built for the star rating but for the purpose of the website that I'm building I believe the thumb rating system would look less harsh when guests are browsing the gallery
What I'm looking to achieve is using the thumbs up/down rating for the front page/gallery so it will be formatted like this "thumbs down icon -1 thumbs up icon +1" showing how many thumbs up/downs next to each icon
I did some research and came across a mod for the WP-PostRatings plugin that I thought I could get to work, but had no luck, I was able to get the -1/+1 but was only able to get it to display in front of both icons not in between. Here is the link

I've gotten frustrated at this point and will admit I am not a programmer and if anyone could help me get this feature to work with this theme I would be more than happy to pay you for your time.
