Hi, I am hoping you can help with a small problem I am having.
I have set woo commerce to show both categories and products on overview pages however the products start straight away at the end of the category pictures and this looks messy as there is no distinction between the two, here is an example http://www.oliven.co.uk/product-category/felt/ , there are 3 categories and then the first product shows straight away. Ideally I need to have a divider between the categories and the product with a title something like ‘”Products in These Categories” so that there is a clear distinction between the row of category images and the product images.
Please can you advise?December 9, 2013 at 9:43 am #197968
I didn’t test it but try to open up /wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/templates/loop-shop.php and replace
<?php woocommerce_product_subcategories(); ?>
<?php woocommerce_product_subcategories(); ?> </ul> <div style="padding-bottom:10px" class="av-special-heading av-special-heading-h3 meta-heading"> <h3 itemprop="headline">Products in These Categories</h3><div class="special-heading-border"><div class="special-heading-inner-border"></div></div></div> <ul class="products">
You can replace the “Products in These Categories” with any other text if necessary. Note that the code might not work if the category number does not equal the number of rows – i.e. here: http://www.oliven.co.uk/product-category/felt/ the first line shows sub-categories and a product and I’m not sure if the modified template will work with this “mixed” content. If it doesn’t work I guess some advanced logic is required to separate the products from the categories and you need to hire a developer to code a custom solution for you.
